Hey, hey. It has been a minute since I’ve done a blog post! Truth is, the first two weeks following the holidays I was so uninspired and kind of riding the “holiday hangover”, and the last few weeks I’ve been really busy between teaching at Pure Barre and settling into a new position at Forks & Fingers! So, all good things. I’ve been staying in a lot more, doing a lot less blog or Instagram-worthy things, and I’ve been totally OK with that. I’m all about the Winter reset! Spring and Summer always seems to be a whirlwind, so sometimes it can be nice when the cold forces you to cozy up at home a little more than usual 🙂
Some things that I’ve been doing for my own Winter reset:
Going to bed a little bit earlier. I’m not always great at this as I’m such a night owl, but on the weekdays I’m trying to go to sleep when Tommy does to make sure that I get on some kind of sleep schedule.
Working out 3-4 times a week. Confession: with being a teacher at Pure Barre, you would think that I’m always in class and working out 24/7, but in reality I take class way less than ever before. Teaching is tiring! But I’ve either been forcing myself to stick around and take class (which is always worth it) or working out for even 20 minutes at home. If it’s this cold outside, I might as well stay inside and make it worthwhile, right?!
Getting organized. Tommy might disagree with this (there’s still a pile of crap on our dresser that he’s been begging me to sort out), but I’m entering this year feeling so much more organized than I have been in the past. Hopefully it sticks!
