Happy 2nd day of Spring! I feel like a broken record every time I mention the weather on here, but what can I say – much of blogging is reliant and/or related to the weather! Personally, Spring is not my favorite season (Fall first, Summer second), however I am sooo ready to get out of hermit mode and out in the sunshine. Things I am looking forward to most – walks in Central Park to see the cherry blossoms, dining al fresco and the new inspiration that comes with a season change. Now we just need the temperature to creep up a few digits.
Side note: the one good thing about being in hermit mode is that we have been watching a lot of good TV and movies, which is not usually something I make time for. Most notably, we have watched the OJ Simpson three part documentary, which is truly a great watch and a ridiculous eye opener to many things, The Accountant, which was 10x better than I thought it would be and will definitely be watching again, and we went out to see Beauty and the Beast! STILL SWOONING. Seriously, I want to go see that movie 9 more times. I just might. It was perfect. We also watched Neighbors 2 on a random night in and it was just as hilarious as the first one. So if you’re looking for something to watch, check those out! Haha. Look at me, so diverse in film and TV (jokes).
Anyway, this iffy weather calls for the need of transitional style. Outfits that say “OK it may still feel like Winter, but I’m gearing up for Spring”. This outfit I wore on Sunday was kind of an ode to that. I mean, there’s still snow on the ground so I’m not going to go totally Spring, BUT my oversized blanket scarf was in lighter hues, my sweater was cropped, and my jeans had some rips in the knees. Showing a wee bit more skin than usual and feeling more relaxed and less bundled.
Luckily when you’re in the sun it doesn’t feel that cold! Here’s to warmer days ahead.
