Holiday Tablescape

Happy Monday! I can’t believe how quickly December is flying.  Christmas will be here before we know it! We’re going to have a “tourist” day tomorrow, AKA knock some holiday sights and activities off the list. Since Tommy works in Rock Center every day of his life, I’m pretty sure we’re going to avoid going to see the big tree.  I hate to say it, but at this point it isn’t that high up on my list of things to do this time of year.  The crowds are just too overwhelming! However, there are many other cool things to do and I’m excited for the day.  Another thing that’s exciting me is that we finally have a proper Holiday Tablescape!  One of the changes we’ve made in the apartment recently is removing the bar cart (sad, I know) and inserting a small dining table in its place.  During warmer months we enjoy dinner out on the balcony, but for the Winter crouching at a coffee table just doesn’t cut it (New Yorker problems, much?), so when Pier 1 had some pretty solid Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, we hopped right on it.  I figured this tablescape will not only be suitable for December but for all of Winter.

Silver, gold and crimson are our colors of the season, so I wanted to make sure that this holiday tablescape tied in with that.  I ended up ordering everything online, which of course made me nervous – but ultimately I am happy with how this turned out! These gold chargers are SUPER affordable and amazing underneath the Ivory Silver Rimmed plates (the sheen on these plates is just to die for), and the poinsettia napkin ring is just the pop of color we needed.  The “Tour” glasses collection from Crate and Barrel is just my absolute favorite, and everything pictured is linked down below!

Happy Holidays! 😉
