Hey all – hope you are enjoying the very last few days before Fall officially hits! I myself could not have had a better “last weekend of Summer”; I spent it out East on the North Fork of Long Island, aka Long Island Wine Country. We all know I love me some wine, and I especially love me some wine trail. I already had the weekend off from work, but I woke up on Friday to a surprise from Tommy that he had booked a hotel for us in Greenport 🙂 I was so surprised and so relieved..I really needed to just get away from the city and away from work for a minute to clear my head and be myself with the people that are closest to me! It worked out perfectly because some of our best friends were able to come meet up with us. We hit up a few vineyards, but of course there is always one that sticks out more than the others. Croteaux Vineyards in Southold was like a dream come true for Amanda and I! Haha. Everything from the wrought-iron entrance to the colorful signage, the multiple seating areas (each entirely different but equally adorable), the character and decor, and oh yeah..the ROSE. Croteaux Vineyards is the only vineyard in the U.S. that is dedicated exclusively to Rose! I love that. We tried all of the wines, from the sparkling to the dry. They all were fantastic and we picked up bottles of our favorites to take home as well. This is the perfect vineyard to kick back, enjoy some wine and cheese, take in all of the cheery details and enjoy being outdoors while we still can!
What a perfect way to get our day started! We did so many fun things this weekend and I think I’m pretty much going to make this a “North Fork” week on the blog – haha! I’ve got so many pictures and fun things to share for if you ever get out there and need a little direction on where to go!
Enjoy your day!
