Black on Black

Happy New Year! I took the week between Christmas and NYE completely off from posting, so I hope that you had a great week and are all off to a great start in 2018.  After all of the chaos that comes with December (fun chaos, of course), I am beyond ready to slow things down in January.  I’m excited for more nights in, more sleep, more organization and the promise of new things.  While I am not one for resolutions, I always like the idea of a fresh start and a chance to reflect and grow.  Each year just gets better and better, so I can’t wait to see what 2018 has up its sleeve! 😉

I don’t know about where you live, but NYC has taken a temp turn for the worse.  Being in a walking city when the temp feels like its in the negatives is not ideal.  I truly dislike Winter so I’m going to have to try extra hard to keep a good attitude when I can’t feel my toes on the walk to work, haha.  If you ask me, it is hardest to look put together in the Winter.  All of the layers and all of the bundling really keep from looking “cute”, ha.  But one way I try to keep it all looking together is to dress in all black.  Here I’m wearing a black turtleneck, belt, jeans and shoes, which lets the scarf do all of the talking!

Of course, sometimes I leave the apartment wearing whatever the heck is warmest and that doesn’t always match, but I find that taking a second to coordinate my gloves and scarf really makes a difference!

Stay warm out there!
