Hey, hey! Happy Wednesday. It has been quite some time since I’ve posted, simply because I haven’t really had much time to create content! All good things, though. Within the last month or so I feel that I finally have more of a grasp on my work/social life balance, and admittedly that has made me happier now that I’m not trying to cram in too many things in the schedule. I’ve had lots of yummy brunches, great girl talk, family time and even a fun Bachelorette thrown in…It’s been a good few weeks. With that being said, I’m so ready for Spring and the addition of more outfit posts, recipes, and interior posts. Speaking of home decor, I thought today I would share our progress on bedroom decor.
I feel like I have made hundreds of changes to our living room over the last few months (FINALLY coming together the way I really want it to), and in exchange our bedroom has taken the back burner. Turns out, I’m kind of digging the idea of leaving things simple in the bedroom. It is our resting place, after all. It all started with this sateen bedding from Parachute Home; I was eyeing it for MONTHS before we moved in, dreaming of mornings waking up in this luxurious fabric and the love of my life (barf moment), and after grabbing a few swatches to test-feel I finally took the plunge. From there I knew that I wanted gray furniture to complement it. We bought a matching headboard and dresser set (dresser unpictured) in this rustic gray color that I absolutely love.
For a while after we didn’t have nightstands (that was interesting), and since we were finding that we really, really needed them but couldn’t find the “right” nightstands I bought these super affordable, plain black ones. They’re a pain in the neck to assemble and pretty small, but will definitely do the trick until we find something better!
On either side of the bed (also unpictured, woops) are small faux fur rugs, which are AMAZING when you wake up in the morning, let me tell you.
Above the bed we have this Birch canvas painting, which we moved from the living room and I am so, so glad that we did. I was never quite satisfied with it above the couch, and in here it just feels right.
The lampshades we got at good ol’ Target, along with the stainless steel stand. The silver pillows (although they do look more champagne than described online) are from Joss & Main, and all in all I am finally feeling satisfied with how this room looks!
The one thing I am hesitating on is putting these chevron arrows on the wall above the lamps..I bought them on Etsy months ago and just cannot decide if they’re even needed! What do you guys think?
Hope you enjoyed this bedroom decor post and thanks for stopping by!
