Hey there, Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July Weekend 🙂
If you ask me, no home is complete without a home bar. If you love to entertain, or just love to kick back with a cocktail after a long work day, then a bar cart is certainly something you should look into. There’s just something so luxurious about a bar cart – its a focus piece but also obviously offers a ton of function, which makes for a great item to have in a small NYC apartment. What’s crazy is before I started dating Tommy I literally NEVER drank at home. I don’t even think I had a wine glass at my apartment (OK, aside from my college days when I lived with friends, those days we were well equipped); It was always meeting friends out for drinks, which as you can imagine, gets expensive reeeal quick. Now that I’m in relationship bliss, there are very few things I enjoy more than cooking dinner together, pouring ourselves some drinks and straight up relaxing. Don’t get me wrong, we still go out for dinner “too much” as 99% of New Yorkers do, but it helps to cut costs sometimes on food and drink at home!
The thing about bar carts is that there is so much room for you to play in terms of accessories and accents. I got this bar cart for Tommy for Christmas, and over the months we have swapped out what actually is on display. We used to keep all of our crystal wine glasses and decanters on the cart, but we recently moved into this apartment and stocked up on alcohol, so as you can see that kind of took over 😉
One thing I would still love to get is a tray, just so the alcohol can seem more organized. I love the look of a shaker, a tumbler, a decanter, and a diffuser or even a plant. We also have a few cocktail mixers (so fun!), like the Owl’s Brew and Cocktail Crate.
Do you guys already have a bar cart? How do you style it? I would love to hear!
Have a great day!
