Ombre Sweater

Aside from the brief day of rain, the weather has been too perfect recently.  Warm without humidity during the day, cool enough for pants and a sweater at night.  I’m not QUITE ready to bust out all of the Fall clothes or shoes, so in the meantime I’m rocking the comfy end of Summer clothes and sandals while I can.  I got this ombre sweater from Brandy Melville a few years ago, and it became a fast favorite.  I love it for evenings by the beach or in this case, for a waterfront dinner after a day of vineyard hopping.  As I mentioned in my last post, Tommy surprised me with a hotel room just outside Greenport, and we were STARVING after a day of wine, so we ran to the room, dropped our stuff, refreshened up for a minute and grabbed a cab into town.  I absolutely loved Greenport, and there is definitely something there for everybody.  High end restaurants, dive bars, shops, you name it.  We ended up dining at Claudio’s, Greenport’s famous family-owned restaurant, and just walked around after dinner until we found a cozy spot with TV’s to sit around with some drinks and football.  We had a blast and I’m so glad we actually got to stay out there and enjoy the charm of the North Fork a little more than usual!

Anyway, it did get a bit chilly in the evening, so I threw this ombre sweater over a gray jumpsuit (thanks Nikki for passing it down!) and called it a day.  Super casual outfit for dinner but again, we were waterfront and to me that just makes things more relaxed!
